Intake

I have learned that I typically work out harder/more so I don't have to stress as much about what I eat. I can eat right for weeks and nary drop a pound, but as soon as I start to sweat, the weight starts to drop off. It's a good like I love being active I guess :)

Now that my working out is hobbling around the house and pushups/planks/situps/stretching, I can't get away with that.

Maybe this injury is just what I needed to reign in my eating habits and get me focused on intake this holiday season instead of focusing on the "repairing" through exercise. It sure sounds like a healthier approach. If I can get control of this area, I will be a force to reckon with once I can do cardio workouts again.

As of today, I have much better range of motion and have removed one level of the wedge in the boot. I have goals to be driving to my two week follow-up appt on the 18th, but wonder if it is silly to make goals when it comes to recovery? Long term (if I consider January as the long term, which I do) I really want to be healed and start the soccer season and resume the kickboxing and mild running. They are lofty goals, but I am stretching and walking in the boot a ton and feel the difference. I don't want to set myself up for failure, but I can't let this drive to reach these goals pass my by. I am hoping that by following doctors orders that he will give me the go ahead to keep on and trust my body when it comes time to get back to it.

and I think so few people are like you are and KNOW THEIR BOD.

can intuit what will be ok and what wont---here's hoping your doctor sees that.
