Sound Advice

My brother Harley is a weight losing/fitness Hee-Man. He just posted about his thinking when it comes to tossing out food (after my sister and I commented on an earlier post saying there was no way we could have thrown away his wife's unbelievable chocolate cake!). Totally worth reading for me as this is an area (and everything food related) that I struggle with. I have the hardest time wasting food. If there is a piece of pie leftover, you know I will eat it the next day and the chances of it ending up in my garbage are slimmer than slim. The time and effort that goes into making things for me, well enjoying it is the payoff. My food bugdet is tight (whose isn't?) and the thought of throwing money away, well that makes my blood pressure rise!

I want to be able to adopt his thinking in a lot of aspects and think that I can, if I don't try to embrace his whole philosphy all at once. First step for me will be acknowledging that I enjoyed it and I am full and can make it again. That this isn't the last time I will be able to eat 'xyz'.

Baby steps, baby steps...

It was great to see you playing soccer again, and I am really glad you didn't get hurt.
